If no deadlines appear in the relevant regulations, then it can be quite a problem for students to pin down their professors regarding a date for handing out final grades. “A period of eight weeks is a reasonable amount of time for students to wait,” Rossman believes. “I can understand a waiting period of that length, but students should then receive not only their grades but also their original work, well and thoroughly corrected.” Rossman says that if the wait is more than two months, students should see their professors and start raising questions.

Ist kein zeitlicher Rahmen vorgegeben, haben es Studenten schwerer, einen Professor darauf festzunageln. “Acht Wochen können allerdings ein guter Richtwert sein”, findet Roßmann. “Eine Wartezeit von bis zu zwei Monaten kann ich verstehen, immerhin soll die Arbeit ja auch ordentlich korrigiert werden.” Dauert es länger, sollten Studenten beim Professor nachhaken.
