The Technical University of Munich* – Workers of the (University) World, Unite! – 2
The protests by German students against the Bologna reform did have an effect. Unfortunately, no attention was given to the fact that the head, the members, and the entire personnel structure of every German university is sick.
In this country, normally the only way to become a professor is: first, by writing a second dissertation and thereby acquiring a postdoctoral lecturing qualification and then, second, by existing for a (hopefully short) time as an outside lecturer. In the process, all those academics who do not reach the ultimate goal of obtaining a tenured position are mercilessly exploited.

Die Technische Universität München* – Arbeiter der (Uni)welt, vereinigt euch! – 2
Die studentischen Proteste gegen die Bologna-Reform waren wirkungsvoll. Dabei fand leider kaum Beachtung, wie krank an Haupt und Gliedern auch die Personalstruktur an den deutschen Universitäten ist.
Nur über den Weg der Habilitation und einer im Idealfall kurzen Existenz als Privatdozent kann man in Deutschland normalerweise Professor werden. Einem »Alles oder nichts«-Prinzip folgend, werden dabei gnadenlos alle jene Wissenschaftler ausgebeutet, die nicht als Sieger durchs Ziel gehen – sprich eine Professur erhalten.
