The Technical University of Munich* – The (Mis)perception of Excellence – 24
Bettina Reichart, the first-semester German literature student from Munich, has come to a similar conclusion. “I think a lot of my university,” she says, “and I’m proud to be studying here. But it’s not as if every day I saw that I’m at an ‘elite’ institution.”

Zu der Einsicht ist inzwischen auch Bettina Reichart gekommen, die Erstsemester-Germanistin aus München. »Ich halte sehr viel von meiner Universität und bin stolz, hier zu studieren«, sagt sie, »aber ich merke nicht tagtäglich, dass ich an einer Elite-Uni bin.«
