The Technical University of Munich* – The Frauds of Goettingen (and only Goettingen?) – 7
The president of the university, Kurt von Figura, stated that officials were proceeding on the assumption that there were “sixteen individual cases.” And what exactly does that mean? Were the sixteen academics doctoring their publications lists independently of one another? Or were they all working together? Yesterday people were saying that they were in fact working together. On many of the publications in question, several of the researchers were named together as co-authors.

Die Technische Universität München* – Die Fälscher von Göttingen (und nur Göttingen?) – 7
Göttingens Präsident Kurt von Figura erklärte, die Uni gehe von „16 Einzelfällen“ aus. Was kann das bedeuten? Frisierten die Wissenschaftler unabhängig voneinander ihre eigenen Publikationslisten? Oder gingen sie gemeinsam vor? Zu hören war gestern, dass Forscher sich wohl durchaus zusammentaten. Bei vielen der beanstandeten Titel waren mehrere Forscher als Ko-Autoren angegeben.
