The Technical University of Munich* – Competition from the Yanks, Again – 10
International students study in the United States for other reasons as well: American universities make greater recruitment efforts, while the relatively weak dollar helps reduce costs. Still, there are obstacles that have to be removed: one out of five international students complain about the visa application process, about the poorly organized university orientation and preparation procedures, and about high tuition fees.

Die Technische Universität München* – US-Unis steigen im Kurs – 10
Weitere Gründe sind stärkere Werbeanstrengungen von US-Unis im Ausland und der vormals schwache Dollar. Trotzdem bleiben noch Baustellen: Jeder fünfte Austauschstudent bemängelt das Visa-Prozedere, die schlechte organisatorische Vorbereitung auf das Studium sowie die hohen Studiengebühren.
