There has as yet been no official confirmation that Mario Matthes actually participated in the disturbances at the Heer lecture in 2007. “If that were the case,” said Professor Juergen Oldenstein, Vice-President of the University of Mainz, “then we would have a free hand.” He said that in any case he remained in close contact with the Chief of Police in order to be informed about developments.

Die Technische Universität München* – „Stramm rechts im Hörsaal“ – 6
Bisher wurde offiziell noch nicht einmal bestätigt, dass Mario Matthes an der Störung des Heer-Vortrages 2007 tatsächlich beteiligt war. “Wenn dem so wäre, dann wäre unser Handlungsspielraum ein ganz anderer”, sagt der Vize-Präsident der Universität Mainz, Professor Jürgen Oldenstein, im Gespräch mit sueddeutsche.de. Er stehe aber in engem Kontakt mit dem Polizeipräsidenten, um diesbezüglich weiter informiert zu werden.
