“In Saxony-Anhalt, there’s been a public-awareness campaign called ‘DON’T LOOK THE OTHER WAY’ – and the three police officers in our story took that literally. They uncovered hundreds of punishable offenses in the right-wing scene. For the deputy police chief, though, that was inappropriate. ‘Such investigations are bad for the image of Saxony-Anhalt,’ he said.
“The three policemen were disturbed by his reaction, and they recorded a conversation they had with him, an action that led to their undoing, because the recording was considered a breach of confidence.
“However, they were at least able to document something monstrous: Deputy Police Chief Glombitza was adding fuel to the fire. Reports stated: ‘In my personal assessment of the situation, remarked Glombitza, “there are some things that can be ignored”’.”

Die sind zurück – aber an der Technischen Universität München? – 4
„In Sachsen-Anhalt gibt es die Kampagne ‚HINGUCKEN’ – sie nehmen sie wörtlich. Decken hunderte Straftaten im rechten Milieu auf. Doch dem Polizei-Vize passt das offenbar nicht. ‚Das Ansehen unseres Landes könnte nachhaltig geschädigt werden.’
Die Polizisten sind irritiert, schreiben das Gespräch auf. Das wird ihnen zum Verhängnis. Vertrauensbruch.
Dabei dokumentieren sie Ungeheuerliches. Polizei-Vize Glombitza legt nach. ‚Als persönliche Einschätzung merkte Herr Glombitza an, dass man „nicht alles sehen müsse“’.”
