German “Elite” Universities and the Famous Technical University of Munich? – 7
”According to the politicians’ limited vision, German universities should conform to the requirements imposed by the current level of discussion. This represents a triumph of rhetoric, especially in regard to phrases like ,international standards.’ Or to take some other examples, what was once interdisciplinary is now ‘interlinked’ or ‘networked’ or even ‘excellence clustered.’ Quite soon, honestly, we’ll all be really stupid.”

Deutsche „Elite“-Unis und die berühmte Technische Universität München? – 7
„Die Kurzatmigkeit der Politik will die Unis dem jeweiligen Stand der Diskussion anpassen. Das ist der rhetorische Triumph von Formeln wie “internationaler Standard”. Was beispielsweise früher Interdisziplinarität hieß, heißt heute Vernetzung, oder Exzellenz-Cluster. Bald, ehrlich, sind wir wirklich blöd.“
