Praise Falling on Deaf Ears (Of Course Nothing Here Could Possibly Apply to the Technical University of Munich) – 1
“In Boston, German politicians are making recruiting efforts on behalf of German universities. A lot of young research scientists remain skeptical, however.
“Claudia Peus, currently doing post-doctoral work in the United States, is not convinced. All day long she has heard how splendid everything is now in Germany and what terrific opportunities for the future she would have there. Sitting at a meeting in the grand ballroom of a Boston hotel, she was told these things by German politicians. Now, at a discussion at nearby MIT, she hears it also from German scientists and from those offering grants to work at German universities.”

Ins Leere gelobt (aber selbstverständlich kann dieser Artikel überhaupt nicht für die Technische Universität München gelten) – 1
„In Boston werben Politiker für den deutschen Hochschulstandort. Doch viele junge Forscher bleiben skeptisch.
Nein, Claudia Peus ist nicht überzeugt. Den ganzen Tag hört die junge Postdoktorandin nun schon, wie hervorragend jetzt alles in Deutschland sei und welche tollen Zukunftschancen sie selber dort habe. Erst haben es ihr die Politiker im Great Ballroom des Bostoner Tagungshotels gesagt, nun sagen es ihr die Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftsförderer auf der Podiumsdiskussion im Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) gleich nebenan. “
