Progress on the math symbol front?
Apparently, there are html gizmos to produce some math symbols. And unicode! Yay to a cool person from another site who tipped me off.
Check this out: ∫ Oooh, yea, baby. Integrate with me.
August 12: Apparently, you can use numerical codes to produce many more math symbols in html.
can wordpress integrate latex? or, i guess a better first question would be: are you familiar with latex [pronounced la-TECH]? i could look up the former for you, but i’m too lazy. if you aren’t familiar with latex, you should be — it’s the premier type-setting system for mathematicians and physicists [i exlcude chemists and biologists because i’ve never seen either use it!]. go to to learn more.
if you want to see an example of a latexed document, you can check out .
ugh, it cut off my links because i put them in .
the latex link is http://www.latex-project.org, and the example link is http://web.mit.edu/mlord/www/pdfs/algebra.pdf.
Huh. That’s odd. It should let you put links in. Well, I’ll soon fix that.
Anyway, I’m familiar with latex, but I don’t know it. It’s on my agenda of things to learn. I’ll see if wordpress can handle it. (Doubtful, but maybe with extensions.) Thanks!
