The panel is described at;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/techpresident.com\/blog-entry\/next-pdfleaks-event-wikileaks-and-law-monday-march-21\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/techpresident.com\/blog-entry\/next-pdfleaks-event-wikileaks-and-law-monday-march-21<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Benkler&#8217;s remarks were based <a href=\"http:\/\/benkler.org\/Benkler_Wikileaks_current.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">a paper on his website<\/a>. \u00a0I first heard of this via a tweet from Wikileaks which pointed to <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.forbes.com\/andygreenberg\/2011\/02\/22\/harvard-law-prof-amazons-wikileaks-shutdown-set-dangerous-precedent\/#more-2569\" target=\"_blank\">an article in Forbes<\/a>. \u00a0Benkler&#8217;s paper is 66 pages long. If \u00a0you&#8217;re lazy or busy you&#8217;re allowed to rely on my self-serving analysis [to appear]. The short answer to the title No\/No, No\/No.<\/p>\n<p>Geoffrey Stone made the assessment that the Pentagon Papers, even though 3 years old, nonetheless did harm. Revealing that the US had made secret deals to help with Viet Nam compromised the ability of the Gummint to make secret deals in the future. His remark is at 1:31:53 in this video:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lb_P5Kzg4X8\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lb_P5Kzg4X8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I questioned his assessment at 1:45:55<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m curious to hear your reaction, but I will present this information in hopefully more managable form in a blog post in the next day or two.
