It&#8217;s just that Harvard tenure is just too good to lose. Re-translation: No nuthin&#8217; wrong here.<\/p>\n<p>This same discussion came up when N. Gregory Mankiw returned to Harvard Economics after serving as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. At one time, Chair of CEA was the highest ranking economics position in the White House.
