While an ever increasing amount of work in the Yard is being outsourced. This particular work is being done by Harvard &#8216;direct employees&#8217;. Consultation between a worker from Facilities Maintenance Operations and a patrol officer from the Harvard University Police has led to a carefully designed cordon of yellow caution tape around the affected area. Please take it seriously as a measure to prevent injury from falling debris. Also, please take seriously any advisories from the HUPD officer. Harvard administrators may be more concerned about protecting <strong>The Endowment<\/strong> than protecting you, but <strong>Harvard Labor cares about you<\/strong>. Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Harvard&#8217;s response to this sort of risk has improved dramatically since a chunk of concrete from the Lamont roof overhang fell a foot behind me.
