The sun went down in Iraq perhaps four or five hours ago.<br \/>\nEditor and Publisher has posted about the <a href=\"http:\/\/editorandpublisher.com\/eandp\/news\/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002075002&amp;imw=Y\">so far fruitless attempts to rescue Jill<\/a>. To readers of Al Jazeera and &#8216;the guy by the door&#8217; this is not news. <a href=\"http:\/\/pacetua.blogspot.com\/2006\/02\/tolls-of-war-in-midwest-and-in-iraq.html\">Musafir<\/a> picked up on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csmonitor.com\/2006\/0110\/p01s04-woiq.html\">Monitor&#8217;s coverage of Allan Enwiya, the Iraqi interpreter<\/a> [2nd story down] killed when Jill was abducted.  Musafir adds background from Riverbend&#8217;s Baghdad Burning. Riverbend knew Allan and fondly remembers him in his January 12 post <a href=\"http:\/\/riverbendblog.blogspot.com\/2006_01_01_riverbendblog_archive.html\">Thank You for the Music..<\/a>.  It seems Allan loved his wife, his young children, his community and Pink Floyd.<\/p>\n<p>The blog Mia Culpa has a <a href=\"http:\/\/miaculpa.blogspot.com\/2006\/02\/jill-carroll.html\">vigil for Jill<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I got distracted and lost track of the time.
