I immediately decided that one of my very favorite human beings, and the lovely inspiration for several <em>dagosan<\/em> haiku (like the one immediately below), deserves to make her mark in the realm of cyberspace and search engine queries.   Thus, this posting was born.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>rusty blades &#8212;<br \/>\nshe skates backwards<br \/>\nso we can chat<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. by david giacalone &#8211; <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsa-haiku.org\/frogpond.htm\">Frogpond<\/a><\/em> (XXX:3, Fall 2007)      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2007\/10\/iceskatesg.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&amp;q=%22Cynthia+Miner%22&amp;btnG=Search\">Googled &#8220;Cynthia Miner&#8221;<\/a> this morning, I found a few pretenders to her crown.   So, I want to make clear which Cynthia Miner I&#8217;m talking about.\u00a0  It&#8217;s Cynthia L. Miner, <em>nee<\/em> Koser.\u00a0 [The &#8220;L&#8221; stands for Louise, but she rarely offers that information.] Although she loves her 99 acres of woods, ponds, pasture and swamp, she&#8217;s not the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iufro.org\/who-is-who\/officeholder\/Miner\/\">Forest Service biologist<\/a> and communications <a href=\"http:\/\/64.233.169.104\/search?q=cache:M1_munUBXMQJ:outreach.cof.orst.edu\/fstransfer\/agenda%26pptpresentations.htm+%22Cynthia+Miner%22&amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;cd=11&amp;gl=us&amp;client=firefox-a\">director<\/a> in Portland, Oregon.\u00a0     While, she adores her little island casa in the Caribbean, she&#8217;s also not the Cynthia Miner <a href=\"http:\/\/miner.islandstuff.com\/cindi.htm\">on St. Croix<\/a>.    And, although she&#8217;d probably be a wonderful massage therapist, the <em>f\/k\/a<\/em> Gang is not talking about  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.klosetraining.com\/pages\/directory.asp?state=WA\">the one in Olympia<\/a>, WA.      Furthermore, &#8220;Our Cyndi Miner&#8221; is<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>not the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homesandland.com\/Personnel.cfm?PersonId=883899\">real estate agent<\/a> in Florida, and<\/li>\n<li><em>thankfully<\/em>, not Joe Miner&#8217;s wife <a href=\"http:\/\/iowagravestones.org\/gs_view.php?id=10735\">in Iowa<\/a><\/li>\n<li>nor the Lebanon, <a href=\"http:\/\/cincinnati.citysearch.com\/profile\/38674978\/lebanon_oh\/finnigan_vivien_cynthia_miner_associates.html\">Ohio psychologist<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She <em>is<\/em>, however, the proud (and occasionally exhausted) mother of Anny Miner (plus Dawn and Mark), and they starred together in this photo from 1991:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/magnapoets.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/10\/20\/annyhalloween91crop.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2007\/10\/annyhalloween91m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"146\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>daddy<br \/>\ngets all the treats &#8211;<br \/>\nfirst Halloween<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>. She cannot be labeled nor bottled, but is the wife of William Miner (of Miner&#8217;s Farm Art &amp; Antiques); mother of Dawn Denise, Mark and Anne Miner; sister of Cecelia McPhie (formerly of Cardiff, CA and now Delanson, NY), mistress of Miner&#8217;s Farm, befriender of hungry squirrels and cranky old coots, nemesis of many a dam-building beaver, tireless community volunteer, peerless party-thrower and flower-planter, and much, much more (including lawn bocce queen).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2009\/04\/koser-cynthiakminer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10682\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2009\/04\/koser-cynthiakminer-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">This watercolor portrait of Cynthia L.
