Such a woman may be indicted, and on conviction, punished. At common law, <\/FONT><\/DIV>

the punishment was by being placed in a certain engine of correction called the <\/FONT><\/DIV>

trebucket or cocking stool.

This punishment was abolished in Pennsylvania where the offence is now punished <\/FONT><\/DIV>
