&#8220;ownership&#8221; of Heinz <FONT size=\"2\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\">corporations in scores of foreign nations would keep a President Kerry from stopping outsourcing. <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.snopes.com\/politics\/kerry\/heinz.asp\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\">Snopes.com<\/FONT><\/A><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">&nbsp;has the facts, plus well-reasoned arguments concerning the premise of the message.&nbsp; One very important fact:<\/FONT><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\"><FONT size=\"2\">&#8220;The Heinz family trust which Mrs. Kerry inherited sold <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">most of its shares of Heinz <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">stock&nbsp;<\/FONT><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\"><FONT size=\"2\">back in 1995 and currently holds <STRONG>less than a 4% <\/STRONG><\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\"><STRONG>interest<\/STRONG> in the company.&#8221;<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><\/BLOCKQUOTE><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/FONT><\/LI><\/UL><\/UL><\/DIV><\/FONT><\/FONT><br \/>\n<P><\/P><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><br \/>\n<P dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\"><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">Maureen Dowd cooks everyone&#8217;s <A href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2004\/10\/24\/opinion\/24dowd.html?ex=1256356800&amp;en=cc87ea917065f9c6&amp;ei=5090&amp;partner=rssuserland\"><FONT color=\"black\">goose<\/FONT><\/A> skewering the antics and ads of our presidential candidates.&nbsp; (silly geese are <A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/newsItems\/trackback\/ping$2552\">everywhere<\/A>!)<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">Although his opponent has campaigned strongly for <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.illinoisleader.com\/news\/newsview.asp?c=19743\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">tort reform<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">, <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\"><A href=\"http:\/\/www.obamablog.com\/\">Barack Obama<\/A><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\"> has still failed to explain<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">his position on the issue.&nbsp; Lord knows, <EM>we&#8217;ve<\/EM> tried to pry it out of him &#8212; <A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/stories\/storyReader$1924\"><FONT color=\"black\">here<\/FONT><\/A><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">, <\/FONT><A size=\"2\">there<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">, and&nbsp;even&nbsp;<\/FONT><A href=\"www.obamablog.com\/2004\/10\/12\/ presenting_a_positive_vision_for_illinois.php\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">there<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">.&nbsp; I&#8217;m disappointed <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">and have to wonder if it has something to do with trial lawyer contributions, or the hope thereof, in the homestate of Madison County&#8217;s &#8220;judicial hellhole.&#8221;<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\">As <A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/newsItems\/trackback\/ping$2556\">mentioned<\/A> on this page this weekend, I can&#8217;t wait for the election to be a <EM>fait accompli<\/EM>.<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/LI><\/UL><\/UL><br \/>\n<P><\/P><br \/>\n<P dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\"><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\">Has anyone else noticed that <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.blawgrepublic.com\/\"><FONT
