Why does the <EM>American Heritage Dictionary<\/EM>&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT color=\"black\"><FONT size=\"2\">say &#8220;origin unknown&#8221; <\/FONT><FONT size=\"+0\"><FONT size=\"2\">for the verb &#8220;<A href=\"http:\/\/www.bartleby.com\/61\/7\/W0090700.html\"><FONT color=\"black\">welsh\/welch<\/FONT><\/A>&#8220;, but&nbsp;notes that the verb&nbsp;&#8220;<A href=\"\/\/www.bartleby.com\/61\/7\/W0090700.html\"><FONT color=\"black\">gyp<\/FONT><\/A>&#8221;
