the myth<\/FONT><\/A> of the 17-syllable haiku.  It’s <\/FONT>f\/k\/a<\/EM><\/FONT>‘s<\/EM><\/FONT> own punditry, which lately has not even come<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

close to the <\/FONT>one-breath<\/A><\/FONT><\/FONT> promise<\/A> made to ourselves and our readers.  Fighting my own proclivity <\/FONT><\/DIV>

to prolixity will <\/FONT>not be easy.  But, I’m going to try harder.  If you wanted wind-bag <\/FONT>punditry, you’d<\/FONT><\/DIV>
