The novel also&nbsp;features the feisty character <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"2\"><EM>Lydia<\/EM> Wedge, who was insisting at the start of the 19th Century that Harvard admit women.&nbsp; Lydia would have loved <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"2\">the news in the September-October 2004 edition of <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.harvardmagazine.com\/\"><EM><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"2\">Harvard Magazine<\/FONT><\/EM><\/A><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\" size=\"2\"> (soon available at the site):<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\"><STRONG>Gender Milestone<\/STRONG><EM>:&nbsp; The findings of economics Professor <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Times New Roman,Times,Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\"><STRONG>Carolyn Hoxby<\/STRONG> are summarized: &#8220;high-aptitude women&#8221;
