It prefers original weblog content.<\/EM><\/FONT><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<P dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">What a&nbsp;wonderful idea! (<EM>Eine wunderbarische Idee!<\/EM>) . . &nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cyber.law.harvard.edu\/blogs\/static\/ethicalesq\/keyneg001.jpg\" alt=\"!key neg\" \/> <\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">The weblog is available in English and German versions and its Mission is stated as being&nbsp;&#8220;A forum for information sharing in the areas of German and American law, mainly where the two intersect, vary or intrigue.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp; Right now, there are several <EM>sehr interessant <\/EM>postings on the site, including one on <A href=\"http:\/\/www.recht.us\/amlaw\/2004\/04\/17#z0417domains\">umlaut domain grabbing<\/A>, and another on <A href=\"http:\/\/www.recht.us\/amlaw\/2004\/04\/09#z0409ceasedesist\">abusive cease and desist<\/A> demands in the internet context.<\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">I haven&#8217;t studied German in about 35 years, but GALJ might get me to scrape off some of the rust.&nbsp; Please correct my German usage above, if it needs it.<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<LI><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><FONT color=\"red\"><STRONG><EM>Update<\/EM><\/STRONG> (04-18-04)<\/FONT>: Having just visited the <A href=\"http:\/\/www.recht.us\/amlaw\">GALJ weblog<\/A> for the second day, I want to alert all who are interested in internet and hi-tech law (<EM>e.g., <\/EM><A href=\"http:\/\/www.cyberspaces.org\/webzine\/\">CyberSpaces,<\/A> &nbsp;<A href=\"http:\/\/www.fedlawyers.org\/netlawblog\/\">NetLawBlog<\/A>, <A href=\"http:\/\/www.rklau.com\/tins\/\">tins\/RickKlau<\/A>,&nbsp;<A href=\"http:\/\/research.yale.edu\/lawmeme\/\">LawMeme<\/A>, <A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/palfrey\/\">John Palfrey<\/A>, <A href=\"http:\/\/patentlaw.typepad.com\/patent\/\">Patently Obvious<\/A>,&nbsp;<EM>et al.<\/EM>)&nbsp;to place GALJ on their Favorites list.&nbsp; In addition to the two topics I cited here yesterday, you can now find a blurb on the futility under German law of <A href=\"http:\/\/www.recht.us\/amlaw\/2004\/04\/18#z0418disclaimer\">Link Disclaimers<\/A>, and one covering the Supreme <A href=\"http:\/\/www.recht.us\/amlaw\/2004\/04\/18#z0418bpg\">Patent Court&#8217;s citation to Wiki<\/A>, when chiding the trademark office for failure to consider current sources in its trademark examinations.&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/DIV><\/LI><\/UL><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just discovered the weblog of the German American Law Journal, which has the following notice in its left-hand margin, with a hyperlink to our post earlier this afternoon: GALJ does not use ghost-written third-party material.
