Peterson<\/EM>?&nbsp; Was son <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.hollandhart.com\/peopleprofile.cfm?IDName=PersonID&amp;ID=5093\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Sheldon<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> able <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">to save the elderly Marvin and Goldie Smith&nbsp;from the abusive early-<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">bather <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">upstairs?&nbsp; As <A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/2006\/02\/28#a6117\"><FONT color=\"black\">we reported<\/FONT><\/A> on Feb. 28, the initial hearing before <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Denver District Court Judge <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">Ronald Mullins<\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">&nbsp;was set for March 22nd.&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">I&#8217;ve been checking Google News, the <EM>Denver Post, <A href=\"http:\/\/suz-at-large.blogspot.com\/\"><FONT color=\"#000000\">Suz at Large<\/FONT><\/A>,<\/EM>&nbsp;<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">and <A href=\"http:\/\/www.overlawyered.com\/2006\/02\/sued_for_taking_baths_too_earl.html\"><EM><FONT color=\"black\">Overlawyered<\/FONT><\/EM><\/A><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">, but haven&#8217;t learned a thing.&nbsp;&nbsp; He usually gives advice (whether asked or not), but this week<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Prof. <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.professorbainbridge.com\/\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Steve Bainbridge<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> has been seeking advice.&nbsp; Steve , who has <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">been <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">trying out new mastheads had a poll <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.professorbainbridge.com\/2006\/03\/site_design.html\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">seeking input<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> on two new <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">designs, plus<\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> his original classic version.&nbsp;&nbsp; His favorite &#8212; a swatch <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">of a waving <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">USA flag &#8212; was not well received, and the classic version <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">was edged <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">out by a slightly by an image of&nbsp;stock certificates.(yawn)&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Steve <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">is going to experiment.&nbsp; I&nbsp;really like&nbsp;the color-scheme, tagline <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">[&#8220;Law, <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Business, Economics, and Culture&#8221; &#8212; what&#8217;s left?]&nbsp;and image <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">on his <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">newest attempt &#8212; which looks like Bacchus, the god of wine.&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Of <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">course, it could be Steve tending his vineyards.&nbsp;&nbsp; At the time, I noticed that one <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">attorney was near the front of the cue, because he listed himself <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">as <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/abogadowarrenredlich8887335299.worldpages-ads.com\/\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">Abogado Warren Redlich<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> &#8212; to let consumers know, I presumed, <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">that he speaks Spanish.&nbsp;&nbsp; Serendipitously, I discovered this week <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">that lawyer Redlich is in fact the weblogger behind <EM><A href=\"http:\/\/albany-lawyer.blogspot.com\/\">Albany Lawyer Blog<\/A><\/EM>. <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">At his <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.redlichlaw.com\/\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">firm website<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\">, Warren uses the tagline &#8220;<EM>a lawyer who speaks your <\/EM><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\"><EM>language<\/EM>,&#8221; and <\/FONT><\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.redlichlaw.com\/main.html\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">reports<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> that he speaks Spanish, Japanese and French, <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">along with his native English.&nbsp;&nbsp;Yes, I&#8217;m envious.<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; MA).&nbsp;&nbsp;Warren is&nbsp;finding many ways to differentiate <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">himself from the crowd, as he builds his law practice. <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/DIV><\/BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/media-cyber.law.harvard.edu\/blogs\/static\/ethicalesq\/washerN.gif\" alt=\"washerN\" \/>&nbsp; The <EM>Wall Street Journal<\/EM> editorialized in favor of the Maytag &#8211; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Whirlpool merger on March 13, stating that antitrust merger enforce-<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">ment was irrelevant (and harmful) given globalization and the new<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">technology.&nbsp; My friends at the <A href=\"http:\/\/www.antitrustinstitute.org\/recent2\/490.pdf\">American Antitrust Institute<\/A> offered <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">an op\/ed piece in rebuttal, which was rejected by WSJ.&nbsp; Having their <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">own website, <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.antitrustinstitute.org\/recent2\/490.pdf\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">AAI Responds to WSJ Editorial on Whirlpool-Maytag<\/FONT><\/A><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">(March 23, 2006), even posting the WSJ&#8217;s &#8220;<EM>Antitrust Spin Cycle<\/EM>.&#8221; <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">Written by AAI Vice President, Diana Moss, the pro-antitrust piece <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">wins my vote.&nbsp;Among other insights, Moss points out two truths:<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">&#8220;One truth is that the consumer should matter.&nbsp;. .. &nbsp;If busi-<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">nesses successfully serve consumers, stockholders will <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">have opportunities to profit. . . .
