<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/media-cyber.law.harvard.edu\/blogs\/static\/ethicalesq\/bocceNot.gif\" alt=\"bocceNot\" \/><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">on the<EM> <A href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/\">NYT<\/A><\/EM> homepage today, I thought&nbsp;that <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">archeologists<\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\"><FONT size=\"2\">had unearthed the oldest-known set of <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">bocce balls.&nbsp; Upon <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">further reading, they had merely discovered &#8220;evidence of a <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">fierce battle fought there in about 3500 B.C&#8221; and what they <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">believe is the &#8220;oldest known excavated site of large-scale <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">organized warfare.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp; As for the picture: <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>Archaeologists found 120 clay balls at Tell <\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>Hamoukar that were meant to be fired from <\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>slings, as well as 1,200 smaller &#8220;bullets.&#8221;<\/EM> <\/FONT><\/DIV><\/BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Yawn.&nbsp;
