A <\/FONT>Comment<\/A> by Martin “<\/FONT>RiskProf<\/EM><\/FONT><\/A>” Grace has convinced the <\/FONT><\/DIV>

f\/k\/a<\/EM> Gang that we should get our readers involved in choosing <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
a logo for the Supreme Court of Florida<\/A>, in the wake of its <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
decision<\/FONT><\/A> last week banning the Pape & Chandler PIT BULL <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
logo<\/FONT><\/A> and 800-number.  (see our prior post<\/FONT><\/A> on the case)<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
         Last Sunday, we rashly suggested<\/A> that this guy   \"bullG\"<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
would make a darn good symbol for the Dignity Police on<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
the Florida Supreme Court.  Prof. Grace has, however, <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
opined that the great bird preferred by Ben Franklin as our<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
national symbol would be appropriate — to wit, the turkey. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
Here are some examples of that fowl for your <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n

This important task — assuring that the public is not misled <\/FONT><\/DIV>

by <\/FONT>the Court’s dowdy website<\/FONT><\/A>, while keeping the image of the <\/FONT><\/DIV>

Court sufficiently dignified — deserves a bit of brainstorming and <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
discussion, <\/FONT>don’t you think?  <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
                                                                         \"eagleSoar\" too mean<\/FONT><\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
Sadly, our national symbol is not fit for use <\/FONT>as a <\/FONT>judicial emblem — <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
the eagle is a vicious predator, preying <\/FONT>on <\/FONT>the small and weak.   <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
However, a number of other birds seem <\/FONT>like potential candidates:<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n

\n
the dodo – \"dodoG\"<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
                                 the cuckoo – \"cuckoosG\"<\/FONT><\/DIV>

award for <\/FONT>judicial professionalism — and, majored in Communications <\/FONT><\/DIV>

at <\/FONT>Boston University, her thoughts on the subject would be most <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
welcomed.   More important, though, is getting your<\/EM> imput.  Please <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
