What did AAI do?  As we <\/FONT>reported here<\/FONT><\/A><\/FONT>, it is accepting funds from the  \"jailbird<\/FONT><\/DIV>

Antitrust Vitamin Price Fixing Settlement, which will be used to make an <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
educational video about the antitrust laws.  VTC, whose president is one <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
S.M. “Sandy” Oliva, recently described itself in Tunney Act <\/FONT>Comments<\/FONT><\/A> to <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
the U.S. Justice Department as:<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n

[A] nonpartisan educational organization that analyzes the <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
antitrust and competition laws from a pro-reason, pro-capitalism <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
perspective.”<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/BLOCKQUOTE>

On its website, VTC states<\/FONT><\/A> that its “approach combines the principles of <\/DIV>
\n
rational ethics, libertarian political theory, and the Austrian School of <\/DIV>

economics, to repudiate contemporary antitrust theories and practices.”<\/DIV>

a local morning “drive time” talk-show host, named <\/FONT>Don Weeks<\/FONT><\/A>.  Early<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

last week,  my clock radio woke me to a segment of Mr. Weeks’ AM<\/FONT><\/DIV>

show in which he was complaining about the voice of <\/FONT>Ethel Merman<\/FONT><\/A>.  <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
Weeks pointed out how, as a youth, he had to suffer through a <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
Merman tune just to see the rest of the Ed Sullivan Show.  Then, to <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
my dismay, he had his engineer cue up and play part of Ms. Merman’s <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
signature song, “<\/FONT>There’s No Business Like Show Business<\/FONT><\/A>.”  That was <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
a particularly traumatic way to begin any day, and might in and of itself <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
be actionable.  However, as Don Weeks should have anticipated, that <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
damn song has been playing in my head ever since.  Help!  Do I have <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
a case!  I’m sure Weeks’ radio station, <\/FONT>WGY<\/FONT><\/A> (a Clear Channel Station),<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
has deeeeep pockets, <\/FONT>as does Don, after 25 years on the air.<\/FONT><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

to get more and more youthful, when compared to her 18-months-younger twin <\/FONT><\/DIV>

brothers.  But, I’d like to think she is a symbol of what good geriatric genes we <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

have in our family.   I appreciate her more every year as a friend and confidante.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
