As part of my anniversary<\/A> contemplations today, I have pondered whether to<\/FONT><\/DIV>

take the slashes out of the name of this weblog — changing “f\/k\/a” to “fka.” <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
I have at times complained about a few other <\/FONT>weblogs that use punctuation <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
marks and other non-alphabetic symbols in <\/FONT>their names (<\/FONT>this site<\/FONT><\/A>, I am happy to <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
say, is now parentheses-free in its <\/FONT><\/FONT>masthead).<\/FONT><\/DIV>

My deliberations were short, however.  Although both <\/FONT>f\/k\/a<\/FONT><\/A> and fka have        \/ \/ \/ . . <\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

been used to denote “formerly known as,” I am definitely keeping “f\/k\/a,”<\/FONT><\/DIV>
