The 700-page<\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> issue is a milestone and a treasure.   This year, <em>LSF<\/em> and its devoted<\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> editor, West Virginia Law Professor Prof. <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/myweb.wvnet.edu\/~jelkins\/elkinsweb\/\"><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">James R. Elkins<\/font><\/a><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">, have produced<\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><font size=\"2\"> a spectacular encore &#8212; <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/tarlton.law.utexas.edu\/lpop\/etext\/lsf\/29-1\/intelligible.html\"><em><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">Legal Studies Forum<\/font><\/em><font size=\"2\"> <\/font><\/a><\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/tarlton.law.utexas.edu\/lpop\/etext\/lsf\/29-1\/intelligible.html\"><font color=\"black\" face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">XXIX:1 (2005)<\/font><\/a><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> &#8212; which<\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> includes about 300 pages of poetry by people with law degrees (very little <\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">of which is about the law), along with interviews and essays about lawyers<\/font><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"> and poetry. Texas Tarlton Law Library] Prof. Elkins says:<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><em><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">We&#8217;ve made no claim that there is a subterranean connection<\/font><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><em><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">between poem and lawyer\/poet; what we claim is that knowing<\/font><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><em><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">that the poet is a lawyer turns out to be a perfectly good reason to<\/font><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" align=\"left\"><em><font face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">read poetry, poetry most of us would not otherwise read.
