is the <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/www.abanet.org\/publiced\/lawday\/theme2005.html\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">theme for Law Day 2005<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">, which <\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">falls on May 1st, but will be celebrated on May 2nd in many locations.&nbsp; There will be <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/2005\/04\/24#a3730\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">no more<\/FONT><\/A><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">cynical stuff <\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/stories\/storyReader$3744\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"black\" size=\"2\">from me<\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\"><FONT color=\"black\"> on th<\/FONT>e topic of Law Day for this year (unless extremely provoked).&nbsp; As <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\">Alexis de Tocqueville reminded us in his&nbsp;<EM>Democracy in America:<\/EM><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><EM><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">The jury, which is the most energetic means of making the people rule, <\/FONT><\/EM><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\"><EM><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\">is also the most efficacious means of teaching it how to rule well&#x2026;
