I’m a little tired from post-Easter traveling today, so maybe I missed it when I quickly <\/FONT><\/DIV>

perused the <\/FONT>ABA TechShow 2005<\/FONT><\/A> website.  I’m wondering: When and how does the <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
conference treat the harnessing of technology to help lawyers serve clients better<\/EM> — <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
especially the less-than-sophisticated<\/EM> client (the average consumer and small business)?   <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
<\/FONT> <\/DIV>
\n
“computer Weary”  There are many sessions on avoiding <\/FONT>malpractice<\/FONT><\/A> when adopting new technologies, <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
which is an important topic that is more about averting lawyer pain than promoting client gain.  <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
The <\/FONT>TechShow also offers plenty of tips for honing “marketing” strategies that will attract premium <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
clients.  But, I was hoping for a demonstration of interest in how technology can assist (and<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
prod) the legal profession to promote clients’ interests in both macro and micro ways — to bring<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
more efficient and less expensive legal services, along with more pricing and service options. <\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
