After yesteday’s <\/FONT>sneak preview<\/FONT><\/A>, and his matinee <\/FONT>performance<\/FONT><\/A> this afternoon, <\/FONT><\/DIV>

it’s time for me to tell you about Ed Markowski<\/EM>.  I think I’ve been procrastinating<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
so much with this introduction, because there’s just too many things I want to<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n
say about Ed’s work.  For example:<\/FONT><\/DIV>
\n

    I’m touched by Ed’s ability to present the joys and dignity of<\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    blue-collar life, and<\/EM> the romance found in the mundane <\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    moments of married life.<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV>
    \n

    In addition to sharing samples from the body of fine 3-line haiku <\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    that Ed has penned, I want to expose visitors to this site to his<\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    “non-traditional” spacing and lineation.  They demonstrate how <\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    the haiku spirit can dwell in shapes that are far different than our<\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    grammar school notions of 5 – 7- 5.  [see yesterday’s examples<\/FONT><\/A>]<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/LI><\/OL>
    \n
    <\/FONT> <\/DIV>
    \n
    I can’t say if Erin Harte knew Issue 10 of her <\/FONT>Haiku Sun<\/FONT><\/EM><\/STRONG><\/A> e-zine would be its<\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    last, but I know she chose well in dedicating the entire issue to the work of <\/FONT><\/DIV>
    \n
    Ed Markowski.  Her explanation for the choice is one we can echo:<\/FONT><\/DIV>
