Yabut<\/a> is almost sixty years old.\u00a0 By now, he should have resigned himself to the strange and subjective elasticity of time; or, at least ceased to be surprised by it.\u00a0 Nonetheless, over the past few days, as January rushes\/drags to a close, he&#8217;s been heard mumbling each of the following notions (and a few more that I can&#8217;t remember):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;the Holidays aren&#8217;t even a dim memory any more&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;no, I haven&#8217;t had time to get those Christmas cards written&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;the Inauguration seems likes months ago&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Chinese New Year snuck up on me again&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;I thought that two-hour concert would never end&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2008\/10\/profyabut_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10121\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2008\/10\/profyabut_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"31\" height=\"50\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>&#8220;those 60 minutes on &#8216;<em>24<\/em>&#8216; zoom by much too quickly&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;weren&#8217;t you supposed to fill out those W-2&#8217;s this week?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;it can&#8217;t possibly be February already?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/files\/2008\/11\/profile_bird-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"63\" height=\"57\" \/><em> S<\/em>peaking of time and its mysteries, Eric Turkewitz wrote this week about trying to use his time more wisely by avoiding &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorkpersonalinjuryattorneyblog.com\/2009\/01\/twitter-and-age-of-information-overload.html\">Twitter and the Age of Information Overload<\/a>&#8221; (Jan. 25, 2009) Unlike <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/ethicalesq\/2008\/11\/15\/theyre-all-atwitter-were-not\/\"><em>our <\/em>foray<\/a> into the topic of Twitter, Eric has been able to voice his skepticism without being called a naive dinosaur, or worse, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.simplejustice.us\/2009\/01\/25\/first-impression-of-the-lextweet-reflection.asp\">as has Scott Greenfield<\/a> at <em>Simple Justice<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">On a related note, I clearly thought of Twitter and Info-Source-Glut when I saw the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZtMLvv9w0Nc\">Trailer from &#8220;He&#8217;s just Not That Into You&#8221;<\/a>. At 2:12 of the Trailer, Drew Barrymore&#8217;s character says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">&#8220;I had this guy leave me a voice mail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my Blackberry, and so I text it to his cell, and now you have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies.
