\"\"<\/a> N<\/strong><\/em>ovember is almost gone, so we better tell you about our haiga calendars for December 2008.<\/p>\n

A<\/em><\/strong>s we’ve mentioned many times before, <\/strong><\/em>haiga are pictures (paintings, sketches, or photos) that include a subtly-linked haiku or similar poem (such as a senryu, which is like haiku but focuses on human nature). <\/strong><\/strong><\/em>Last year, we created two free \u201chaiga calendars\u201d for 2008: the \u201cartsy\u201d Giacalone Bros. Haiga Calendar 2008<\/a><\/em> (with photos taken by my brother Arthur) and the nostalgic fka<\/em> Haiga Memories Calendar 2008<\/a> (with most shots snapped in the 1950\u2019s by Mama Giacalone).\u00a0\u00a0The poetry is written by your Editor \u201cdagosan\u201d.<\/p>\n
