So, I was surprised to find my weary self fully engaged in&nbsp;<\/FONT><\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/lydon\/\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#42aac8\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>Christopher Lydon<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\">&#8216;s <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">latest post, <\/FONT><\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/lydon\/2004\/09\/01#a572\"><EM><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#ff0000\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>It&#8217;s Rockefeller&#8217;s Party<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/EM><\/A>&nbsp;(Sept. 1, 2004)<FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\">.&nbsp;&nbsp;His thoughtful,&nbsp;urgent message on the nature of the <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">Republican&nbsp;Party needs to be considered by everyone <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">interested in the politics and future of our nation.&nbsp; <\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" size=\"2\"><\/FONT>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV dir=\"ltr\" style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" align=\"right\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\">The GOP is <EM>not the heir to Reaganite conservatism,<\/EM> says Lydon.&nbsp; It is &nbsp;the <STRONG>Grand Old <\/STRONG><STRONG><EM>Rockefeller<\/EM> Party.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/STRONG><\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">This<EM> <\/EM><\/FONT><\/FONT><A href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gorp\"><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\" color=\"#42aac8\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>GORP<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/A><FONT face=\"Geneva,Arial,Sans-Serif\"><FONT size=\"2\"> isn&#8217;t&nbsp;fueled with&nbsp;raisins, nuts, and seeds grown&nbsp;in the soil of&nbsp;California extremism.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#8217;s a mixture&nbsp;made from&nbsp;Standard&nbsp;Oil, Wall Street wealth,&nbsp;and <\/FONT><FONT size=\"2\">Rockefeller instincts &#8212;
