A (We)blog by Any Other Name

Score one point for the English language — Collin Canright has just renamed  Canright & Paule’s new weblog the Business Writing & Design Weblog,  putting the “we” back on that ugly little, truncated word “blog.”  This seems only fitting for a website containingNews, comment, analysis, opinion, and inspiration on writing and design in business and technology.” Bravo  (and thanks to Collin for giving an ethicalEsq post some credit for the inspiration).

What have you done lately to make your language precise and aesthetically pleasing?

  • P.S. George Wallace and I have been discussing the merits and status of puns of late.  So, I can’t let this opportunity pass without mentioning the wonderful play on words presented by Collin’s last name, now shared by his partner and wife Christina Paule Canright:  Mr. and Ms. Canright are experts on better writing.  I’m sure they groan every time the topic arises, so I apologize for not resisting the temptation.  George understands.
