The office serves as a source of scientific and technological analysis and judgment for the President with respect to major policies, plans and programs of the Federal Government.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">About the Internship Program<\/span>:\u00a0 Interns\u00a0are accepted for one of three annual terms (Spring, Summer, or Fall),\u00a0which each last no more than 90 days.\u00a0While these positions are without compensation, the assignments provide educational enrichment, practical work experience, and network opportunities with other individuals in the science and technology policy arena.\u00a0 Legal and Communications internships in the Director\u2019s Office are available, as well as internships in various OSTP Divisions (Energy and the Environment, Technology and Innovation, National Security and International Affairs), the National Science and Technology Council, the President\u2019s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINE: 11:59PM, FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More information and application instructions are available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/ostp\/about\/student\/\">OSTP Internship Program website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For questions, please email <a href=\"mailto:internships@ostp.gov\">internships@ostp.gov<\/a>, or contact Rebecca Grimm,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:rgrimm@ostp.eop.gov\" target=\"_blank\">rgrimm@ostp.eop.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) is currently accepting applications for its Summer 2014 Internship Program.\u00a0 OSTP advises the President on the effects of science and technology on domestic and international affairs.
