It is important for leaders to understand that within any given group, the needs of those they are leading will be\u00a0very different. This means the approach\u00a0to leading each individual will vary. Good leaders must come to understand that\u00a0&#8220;one size\u00a0fits all&#8221;\u00a0does not apply to leadership.<\/p>\n<p>In this session, Jessica Soban will\u00a0lead a conversation on the topic of\u00a0situational leadership. As a former\u00a0manager\u00a0in the consulting firm\u00a0Bain and Company, Jessica was able to observe the importance of situational leadership, which ultimately led to her becoming a manager within the company.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>DECEMBER<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Strengths Based Leadership<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>December 3, 2013, 3pm &#8211; 5pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Kathy Baron, Center for Workplace Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kathy Baron will lead us through the Strengths Based Leadership workshop. \u00a0 As a leader\/manager, your role is to bring out the best in your employees; they come to work each day, doing the best work that they can.\u00a0 You can only do this by understanding your strengths and those of the people on your team.\u00a0 By using the lens of strengths, you can become a more effective leader of your team and organization.\u00a0 Learning strength-based leadership skills early in your career will set you up for success as a leader. \u00a0 During the workshop, we will learn the \u201cThree Keys\u201d to being a successful leader: Knowing Your Strengths, Getting People with the Right Strengths on Your Team, and Meeting the Four Basic Needs of Followers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gift Wrapping Party<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>December 18, 2013,\u00a06pm &#8211; 8pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy some egg nog, holiday tunes and good times as you wrap gifts with your fellow EL participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gift Delivery and Holiday Party\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>December 19, 2013, 4<strong>pm &#8211; 5pm<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/strong><strong>Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>15 Talbot Ave.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Dorchester, MA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emerging Leaders participants will deliver all of the gifts from the drive to the Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club in Boston, MA.
