The Walt Disney Co<\/em>. ( in a decision handed down by the California Supreme Court), just in time for <a href=\"http:\/\/sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/n\/a\/2005\/07\/29\/state\/n212734D83.DTL\">a roller coaster crash that injured 15<\/a>.&nbsp;<br \/>\nIt troubles me that families slap down $200-plus\/day to visit a place<br \/>\nthat lobbies for lax safety standards.&nbsp; I don&#8217;t think that people<br \/>\nwould eat at restaurants guilty of the same practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Common carrier liability heightens the duty of care that a carrier, such as Disney, owes to riders, where it<span><br \/>\n&#x201C;must use the<br \/>\nutmost care and diligence for their safe carriage, must provide<br \/>\neverything necessary for that purpose, and must exercise to that end a<br \/>\nreasonable degree of skill.&#x201D;&nbsp; Cal.
