{"id":4912,"date":"2012-08-07T19:35:27","date_gmt":"2012-08-07T19:35:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/dplaalpha\/?page_id=4912"},"modified":"2012-08-13T15:14:47","modified_gmt":"2012-08-13T15:14:47","slug":"nominating-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/dplaalpha\/about\/nominating-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominating Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The DPLA Nominating Committee was established by the DPLA <a title=\"Steering Committee\" href=\"http:\/\/dp.la\/about\/steering-committee\/\">Steering Committee<\/a>\u00a0during a <a href=\"http:\/\/dp.la\/files\/2012\/07\/SCNominatingCommitteeCallNotes_7-23-12.pdf\">July 2012 meeting<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0recommend members for the inaugural DPLA Board of Directors.\u00a0The Nominating Committee is composed of the following individuals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>David Ferriero, <em>Archivist of the United States <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Carla Hayden, <em>CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, DPLA Steering Committee member<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Deanna Marcum, <em>Managing Director of Ithaka S+R, DPLA Steering Committee member<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Maura Marx, <em>Executive Director of the Open Knowledge Commons, DPLA Steering Committee member<\/em><\/li>\n<li>MacKenzie Smith<em>, University Librarian, University of California, Davis<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to recommend to the DPLA Steering Committee 5 \u2013 7 candidates to be elected to the inaugural DPLA Board of Directors.
