Digital Public Library of America

Audience members at October 21, 2011 Plenary Meeting

Audience & Participation

Co-Chairs & Coordinator | Conveners | Wiki | Listserv

The Audience & Participation workstream will collaborate with each of the other workstreams to ensure that the DPLA effort considers, anticipates, and incorporates, to the extent possible, the current and future needs of the broadest possible user group. Specifically, it will examine analogous models aimed at establishing and serving diverse communities of users and stakeholders; it will also seek to define the privileges and benefits the DPLA will offer these groups. Questions to address include how best to track user engagement and satisfaction; how best to facilitate the building or augmentation of digital resources by users; how interactive the library system should be; what forms of interactivity it should offer; and how much flexibility communities within the system should have in setting policies and practices.
