Given the volatility of the abortion<br \/>\n      debate, she requested that her real name and city of residence not be used<br \/>\n      in this story.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">from<a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/nationworld\/2002863579_abortion14.html\"> the<br \/>\n          Seattle Times<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>Long before Roe v. Wade, a seventeen-year-old Dowbrigade<br \/>\n        got his first serious girlfriend pregnant. After typical teen angst<br \/>\n        and melodrama, the woman in question, still a close friend, chose to<br \/>\n          fly to enlightened England, which was actively organizing 3-day Abortion<br \/>\n        Tourism all-inclusive packets for girls who could afford it. It was no<br \/>\n        fun, and expensive for a pair of 17-year-olds, but it beat some back<br \/>\n          street butcher shop.<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>Three months later New York State, anticipating<br \/>\n          Roe by 3 years, legalized the procedure, an early indication of the<br \/>\n          exquisite<br \/>\n        timing which would afflict us throughout our life. But to this day we<br \/>\n          will fight for a woman&#8217;s right to choose.
