Sometimes we see
\n a news photo which we can’t take our eyes off of, and this picture, appearing
\n in today’s New York Times, taken by AP protographer Musadeq Sadeq, is a prime example. Afghan
\n soldiers are seen atop a tower inside the Pul-i-Charkhi prison on the
\n eastern
\n outskirts of Kabul February 27, 2006. Police and troops
\n ringed Kabul’s main jail on Monday after hundreds of inmates led by Taliban
\n commanders and a kidnap gang leader took over cell blocks, including
\n one housing women and children.<\/p>\n
Something about the human drama in the foreground, the impressive impressionistic
\n mountains in the background, the clouds of dust and the outlined figures
\n atop the tower give the whole sceen an All Along the Watchtower mystic.<\/p>\n
