(AP) &#8211; A constitutional battle is brewing<br \/>\n        over a holiday beer that state officials are trying to ban because they<br \/>\n        say its label might entice children to drink.<br \/>\n        The state believes it would be really awful for kids to see the label<br \/>\n        on the British import Seriously Bad Elf.<\/p>\n<p>        It shows a mean-looking elf with a slingshot firing Christmas ornaments<br \/>\n        at Santa&#8217;s sleigh as it flies overhead.<\/p>\n<p>        The state Liquor Control Division notified Massachusetts-based Shelton<br \/>\n        Brothers distributors that it was rejecting its application to sell the<br \/>\n      beer, a bitter winter ale brewed at the Ridgeway Brewery in England.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">from <a href=\"http:\/\/apnews.excite.com\/article\/20051029\/D8DHHRG00.html\">AP <\/a><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HARTFORD, Conn.
