VMware<br \/>\nhasn&#8217;t given the product a name, or decided on a price. But it plans to offer<br \/>\na beta<br \/>\nversion, available for downloading from the Internet, before year&#8217;s end.<\/p>\n<p>from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/business\/technology\/articles\/2006\/08\/08\/software_from_emc_firm_lets_macs_operate_windows_too\/\">the<br \/>\nBoston Globe<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The usually reliable<br \/>\n            Hiawatha Bray reports on atrailbreaking new product to allow owners<br \/>\n            of the new Intel Macs to run OSX, Windows and Linux at the same<br \/>\ntime!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">But wait a minute&#8230;..this sounds familiar.<br \/>\nOur memory is slightly short of<br \/>\nphotographic, but we seem to remember&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Personal Technology column looks at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parallels.com\/en\/products\/desktop\/\">Parallels<br \/>\nDesktop for Ma<\/a>c, which allows users of Apple Macintosh computers to run the<br \/>\nWindows and OS X operating systems at the same time; finds that the product works<br \/>\nvery well, despite some drawbacks; Parallels Desktop goes on sale June 15 for<br \/>\n$79 at the developer&#8217;s Web site, parallels.com.<\/p>\n<p>from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/\">Washington Post<\/a>, June 15,<br \/>\n2006<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Actually, <a href=\"http:\/\/weblog.infoworld.com\/virtualization\/archives\/2006\/08\/mac_virtualizat.html\">InfoWorld<\/a> already has a nice article<br \/>\ncomparing the two products&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Parallels already has a huge head start as it already has a product out and in<br \/>\nthe field. They also have their product in brick and mortar store locations,<br \/>\nsuch as the Apple Store. And they went through a very impressive beta cycle with<br \/>\nMac owners, asking for input and feedback as to what features should be in the<br \/>\nproduct. Is their headstart enough?
