Conservation can also inspire local communities and<br \/>\n        even neighboring countries to work together to protect the region&#8217;s natural<br \/>\n        heritage.&quot;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Specifically, five areas being considered by this<br \/>\n          project for protected area status include the Pamir-I-Buzurg, Little<br \/>\n          Pamir, and the Waghjir Valley&#8211;all located in the high Pamirs in an<br \/>\n          area called the Wakhan Corridor&#8211;and Bande Amir and Ajar Valley, located<br \/>\n        in the Central Plateau region.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/06\/24\/business\/24online.html?ex=1308801600&amp;en=d7cfb03cf7fa8dc3&amp;ei=5088&amp;partner=rssnyt&amp;emc=rss\">Wildlife<br \/>\n            Conservation Society<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><em>Is it possible to simultaneously wage an all-out<br \/>\n            war against an implacable enemy, and protect the environment in which<br \/>\n            the battle is beng waged?
