Meanwhile, we have to go to the office<br \/>\n        to calm the nerves of our 300 new foreign students, more than half of<br \/>\n        whom hail from Asia, and who are probably wondering about all of the<br \/>\n        suspicious stares they are getting on the mean streets of Boston&#8230;.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\n          The FBI launched a massive manhunt across the region yesterday for<br \/>\n            six people, four Chinese scientists and two Iraqis, said to be planning<br \/>\n            to detonate a &quot;dirty bomb&quot; in Boston, local public safety<br \/>\n        officials briefed on the threat said.<\/p>\n<p>At a police briefing yesterday at District A-1 station near Government<br \/>\n          Center, a police intelligence official told officers that detectives<br \/>\n          in the department would be trained in the use of radiation-sensing devices,<br \/>\n          and he gave officers instructions about responding to a dirty bomb attack,<br \/>\n          along with descriptions of the suspects.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;<br \/>\n          They have modeling software they can use if it happens,&quot; said the<br \/>\n          officer, who attended the meeting along with representatives of the Fire<br \/>\n          Department and emergency medical services. &quot;Within 3 minutes,<br \/>\n          they can tell us which direction the wind is blowing in, which streets<br \/>\n          to<br \/>\n        shut down.
