The talk-show-host turned politician<br \/>\n          just stopped into Blogger&#8217;s Row.&nbsp; He<br \/>\n          is shaking hands and signing autographs.&nbsp; We will try to ask him<br \/>\n          a few questions., like if he knows what a blog is.<\/p>\n<p>Appearantly he does, although he doesn&#8217;t write one or even read them.<br \/>\n       &nbsp; However, he has an acute sense of catching the wave of a rising<br \/>\n       new tide, and has become convinced, he told us, that &quot;This is the new<br \/>\n       politics, the modern day politics.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Several bloggers crowd around.&nbsp; We want to ask him some questions.<br \/>\n        Some bloggers just wnat to get their picture taken with him. But Jerry<br \/>\n        is not in a mood to be interviewed.<\/p>\n<p>Oh no, Jerry is interviewing US.&nbsp; He doesn&#8217;t want to answer questions,<br \/>\n        he wants to ask them. In fact, he has come equipped with a camera and<br \/>\n        microphone crew, unobtrusively blocking our view of the floor, and proceed<br \/>\n        to ask several of the more photogenic bloggers questions like &quot;How do<br \/>\n        you think of things to write about?&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Behind us two 18-year olds are talking<br \/>\n          on their cellphones about how cool it is<br \/>\n          to<br \/>\n          be at the convention and<br \/>\n          what<br \/>\n          kind<br \/>\n          of<br \/>\n          view they<br \/>\n          have of<br \/>\n          the screen from their seats.&nbsp; They are so absorbed in their preening<br \/>\n          that they haven&#8217;t noticed the media event happening a few feet in front<br \/>\n          of them.&nbsp; Suddenly they notice the man with the microphone.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;Oh my God, Oh my God, its Jerry Springer, he&#8217;s UP<br \/>\n            HERE<br \/>\n            WITH US!&quot;<\/p>\n<p>We decided it was a good time for a bathroom break.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(This story was written last night but we couldn&#8217;t post it because of fading wi-fi and near terminal exhaustion) You know you&#8217;ve reached the big time in American Journalism when Jerry Springer comes to call.
