{"id":2077,"date":"2004-02-12T08:34:03","date_gmt":"2004-02-12T12:34:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/dbnews\/2004\/02\/12\/h-bomb-hits-harvard\/"},"modified":"2004-02-12T08:34:03","modified_gmt":"2004-02-12T12:34:03","slug":"h-bomb-hits-harvard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.blogs.harvard.edu\/dowbrigade\/2004\/02\/12\/h-bomb-hits-harvard\/","title":{"rendered":"H-Bomb Hits Harvard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name='a2619'><\/a><\/p>\n<table width=\"537\" border=\"0\">\n<tr>\n<td width=\"537\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cyber.law.harvard.edu\/blogs\/static\/dowbrigade\/toothless-idiot.jpg\" width=\"262\" height=\"373\" align=\"left\">The<br \/>\n        Dowbrigade breathed a sigh of relief to learn that on Monday our venerable<br \/>\n        Alma Mater and Blog-host, Harvard University, had approved a SEX MAG,<br \/>\n        apparently to relieve the sexual tension which is rife on the Cambridge<br \/>\n        Campus and which we remember so well from our own undergraduate days.<br \/>\n        Subtly titled &#8220;The H-Bomb&#8221; and founded by a couple of undergrad women<br \/>\n        (in my prehistoric period known as &#8220;Cliffies&#8221;),<br \/>\n        reportedly will feature &quot;sex and the issues surrounding sex<br \/>\n        for men and women of all sexual orientations and tastes.&quot;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On Monday, school administrators approved H Bomb, a journal being launched<br \/>\n          by two female undergraduates featuring erotic writing and nude photography.<\/p>\n<p>          The faculty adviser for the magazine, psychology professor Marc Hauser,<br \/>\n            said in an e-mail he was bothered by the use of the term pornography<br \/>\n            to describe it.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is a literary and art magazine about sex and sexuality,&quot; he<br \/>\n          wrote. &quot;It<br \/>\n          is an important magazine in that it will attempt to grapple with both<br \/>\n          interesting and difficult issues, providing a voice for students and<br \/>\n        an interesting forum for intellectual exchange.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So put that in your pipe and smoke it, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/jkbaumga\/\">Jessica<\/a> the<br \/>\n        Cyber librarian! Pornography is in the eye of the beholder, and the H-Bomb,<br \/>\n        like the Dowbrigade<br \/>\n      News, obviously has Redeeming Social Value!
