Unlike uber-ranker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/usnews\/home.htm\">US<br \/>\n        News and World Report<\/a> (which unfortunately since last year charges<br \/>\n        for access to its rankings, and for which I <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.law.harvard.edu\/dowbrigade\/2003\/07\/22#a361\">excoriated<br \/>\n        them<\/a>), the Forbes<br \/>\n        list does not measure retention, reputation or test scores. Instead it<br \/>\n        claims<br \/>\n        to<br \/>\n        evaluate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/free_forbes\/2003\/1013\/078.html\">RETURN<br \/>\n        ON YOUR INVESTMENT DOLLAR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is simple; it costs upwards of $225, 000 (in tuition and fees)<br \/>\n        to get an MBA from an exclusive university like Stanford or MIT, much<br \/>\n        less for state schools like UMass. Considering average starting and continuing<br \/>\n        salaries for graduates of each school, which ones will allow graduates<br \/>\n        to recover their investment the quickest?<\/p>\n<p>It also includes a list of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/cms\/template\/lists\/results.jhtml?passListId=95&amp;passYear=2003&amp;passListType=Misc&amp;resultsStart=1&amp;resultsHowMany=25&amp;resultsSortProperties=-numberfield1%2C%2Bstringfield1&amp;resultsSortCategoryName=5-year%2Bgain%2B%28%24thou%29&amp;category1=Region&amp;searchParameter1=4Str%7C%7CPatCS%7C%7Cnon+U.S.&amp;category2=category2&amp;searchParameter2=unset\">top non-US Business Schools<\/a>, which I<br \/>\n        have not seen at US News or anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/2003\/09\/24\/bschooland.html\">from<br \/>\n    Forbes Magazine.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forbes magazine this months publishes an innovative ranking of the 50 best MBA programs in the US.
