The kid in question, Nicholas M.<br \/>\n        Ciarelli (&#8217;08, pen name Nick dePlume) claims innocence and indigence<br \/>\n        and is seeking representation. Apple says he leaked details of the new $499 mini-Mac and iLife &#8217;05 two weeks before they were unveiled at MacWorld. Why won&#8217;t some Harvard Law or Berkman<br \/>\n        poobah take on the case? It&#8217;s a goldmine for good pub, at the very least.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">\n&quot;A lot of lawyers are interested in my case, but few are able to do<br \/>\n            it for free or low cost,&quot; Ciarelli, of Cazenovia, N.Y., said in an<br \/>\n            e-mail interview. &quot;I&#8217;m seeking representation.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>      The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based civil liberties group,<br \/>\n      said Friday it would not defend Think Secret even though it is defending two<br \/>\n      other sites, AppleInsider.com and PowerPage.org, that Apple is trying to subpoena<br \/>\n      to reveal sources.<\/p>\n<p>      Unlike the Think Secret case, those sites are not being sued.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;In addition to being subpoenaed for sources, he&#8217;s being directly sued for<br \/>\n      trade secret misappropriation,&quot; said Kurt Opsahl, a staff attorney with<br \/>\n      the organization. &quot;We&#8217;re trying to find him counsel.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>      Ciarelli, who described himself as &quot;an enthusiastic fan of Apple&#8217;s products<br \/>\n      since an early age,&quot; started <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinksecret.com\/\">www.ThinkSecret.com<\/a> in 1998 when he was 13.<br \/>\n      The site, which accepts advertising, is read by Apple enthusiasts and industry<br \/>\n      analysts because of its exclusive stories about company developments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">from <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Business\/wireStory?id=413509\">ABC<br \/>\n          News<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>Although the site in question (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinksecret.com\/\">thinksecret.com<\/a>)<br \/>\n        is not technically a blog, it has blog-like features; news and links,<br \/>\n        new stories to the top, archives and comments. Nick is facing the same<br \/>\n        pressures applied by the government to mainstream media when it wants<br \/>\n        to grill a reporter&#8217;s sources, without the traditional protections afforded<br \/>\n        members of the Fifth Estate. He was quoted in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecrimson.com\/article.aspx?ref=505326\">Harvard<br \/>\n        Crimson<\/a> today,<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">&quot;I employ the same legal newsgathering practices<br \/>\n          used by any other journalist,&quot; he wrote. &quot;I talk to sources of information,<br \/>\n            investigate<br \/>\n            tips, follow up on leads, and corroborate details.
