\n dogs and cats in the western world is now obese and needs diet to protect
\n itself from diabetes, heart disease and other health problems, the US
\n National Research Council warned. <\/p>\n
\n council outlined daily nutrient and calorie requirements for dogs and cats
\n and offered some tips for pet-food manufacturers, veterinarians and owners
\n on how to keep their diet healthy. <\/p>\n
